The Organic EL Interaction Plaza was set up as a place where RIOE and local companies and organizations can transmit and receive information on the Organic EL and interact with each other. Since the establishment, the Plaza has encouraged the regional companies to participate in Organic EL related fields, and to strengthen the collaboration with RIOE. In addition, the Plaza has made a great effort to back up the fulfillment of "the Yamagata Organic Electronics Valley Initiative."

The Organic EL Interaction Plaza goes by the name of "Organic EL Yamagata."

Organic EL Yamagata conducts its projects for giving all of its members a deeper　understanding of the Organic EL and RIOE, and for encouraging them to be more actively engaged.

Main activities :

• Seminars concerning domestic and international movements of technology development and others
• Delivery of an e-mail newsletter; "The Organic EL Yamagata Press"
• Grasp of needs or seeds and information exchange through the visit to member companies, and handling of consultation
• Coordination of subcommittee activities by member companies and promotion of upgrading them into committees
• Operation of "Organic EL Sample Studio"
• Organizing "The Organic EL Lighting Design Competition"
